Define Your Task
- The first step in a research project is making sure you understand the assignment. Ask your teacher to explain the assignment if you are confused. A good way to make sure you understand an assignment is by restating it in your own words.
- The second step is to brainstorm questions for your project. What do you want to know about your topic? Write down questions you want to find answers for during your research.
Example:
Ms. Gooch is doing a research project on the Alamo. She makes sure she understands the assignment and then brainstorms questions she wants to know about the Alamo.
Check with your teacher to see if you are supposed to answer specific questions as part of your assignment. |
