Gullett Online Book Fair
Thank you so much for making this year's Gullett "To the BookFair and Beyond" bookfair so successful!!! It has been a wonderful and FUN week! My cousin Buzzella could not stop raving about how wonderful our school is!!!
If you did not find something you were looking for at the fair, OR if you want to support the Gullett Library just a little bit more while having Thanksgiving Turkey.... now through Monday, November 28 you can order through our Gullett ON-LINE bookfair. We will get credit for anything purchased through the on-line fair AND everything will be delivered to me in the library the week of December 5th. I will deliver it to your child (unless it is a secret - so tell me first!) as soon as it gets here.

THEY'RE HERE - Our New Research Computers !!!!!!!
Our brand spankin' new Dell Computers have arrived!!! We are the recipients of the a $5,000 Tocker Foundation Grant that we used to replace our old antique computer museum!!!!

Texas Bluebonnet Award
Texas Bluebonnet Award Program @Gullett is for all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. We participate in the Texas Library Association's children's choice award book program. Each year TLA will publish a list of 20 nominated books that Texas students then read and vote on their favorite. To be eligible to vote, students must read at least 5 of the nominated books. The Bluebonnet books are shelved on the white picket fence bookshelf in the library. We have lots of copies of each book, but they are in high demand. You may also request them from APL. A copy of the current list can be found on the TLA website : http://www.txla.org/TBA.

Gullett Library Receives Grant from The Tocker Foundation
The Gullett Library is the recipient of a $5,000 grant from The Tocker Foundation. This foundation supports small rural libraries in Texas and is a wonderful, generous organization. Mel Kunze, one our grandparents at Gullett, is on the Board of Directors and was given the opportunity to award this grant to the school library of his choosing. Fortunately he chose us!!! We will be using this grant to replace some very old and worn out computers in the library. Thanks to Dmitry, his family, and The Tocker Foundation for their thoughtfulness and kindness!!! We appreciate it!!
